IDOL

An idol is a phantom, an object of worship.
Figuratively, the word ‘idol’ is used to denote conditional and limited ideas and principles that are mistakenly given absolute meaning. An idol is something central in a person's life, without which everything loses its meaning.

An idol is something central in a person's life, without which everything loses its meaning.

We know that there is nothing permanent in our lives. In this way, things in our lives are temporary, but if we make something unconditional out of this temporary, or take a good thing and make it absolute, we create an idol, are absorbed in it, and serve it.

In the pagan world there are different gods, there are gods for everything (entertainment, work, war). In this culture, everything can be a god. Are there pagan altars or temples today?

Every region, every big city has its own set of stereotypes, concepts and patterns of thinking, and people evaluate with their standards and stamps, and these are idols.

In one environment, a person is evaluated by what he or she knows, in another - what product makes, in the third - what family comes from. And all these are idols.
And at the intersection there is a conflict, misunderstanding, denial.
