Insects have always haunted the human imagination. They became part of the cultural and spiritual stories of people all over the world.

The complexity of the social relationships and connections of some species of insects is impressive, but they don’t live like us. They don’t look like us. They do the things that we do in such bizarre and wild ways that it’s just endlessly intriguing.

My work aims to give form to the richness, as well as the brutality and indifference that often characterize our relationship with animals.
